Here we are half way through June already and our public events are all confirmed. The time table is amazing as it takes us right the way through to September, and includes lots of new venues. However there are a couple of dates still available should you wish to book us for an event or party. It’s not like us to list all our booking in one go so we will just mention those in the immediate future.
New on the board is Armed Forces day in Tidworth on Saturday the 30 June. Enterance is free and it is being held on the sports pitch, Pennings Road Tidworth. This is not only a new event for us but is also a new event for them (in its current format). We understand that there will be lots on show way of Military vehicles and equipment as well as inflatable rides, craft food and drink stalls. As well as Archery for you to try. If you are in the area it will be well worth a visit. So why not come along support the show and your armed forces.
Following on with the Armed Forces weekend, on the Sunday (1st July ) we will be at the Blind Veterans UK event at Greenways, Ovingdean, Brighton BN2 7BS. This event gets bigger and bigger each year, and as well as the insight into the working of St Dunstan’s there will be inflatable rides, food, drink and craft stall, Military marching bands, a cadet kit car challenge and a whole host of other arena displays. It is a great day out for all the family and well worth a visit. Starting at 10.30 am and closing at 4 pm entry is free (parking is £1 per vehicle). That is May done and dusted

As May draws to a close, it is time to reflect on what must have been one of our busiest months ever. We travelled in excess of 700 miles, attended nine days of public events and
started over 1000 games. Also that doesn’t take in our private functions and events. On the down side we have had a few casualties by way of equipment, however considering the number of games played it was minimal.
So what is next I hear you ask. Due to private events and other commitments (staff studying, exams etc) June is going to be a quiet month although we will be busy most of the time. Our next public event is on Saturday 30 June at Tidworth Garrison Armed forces day. This is being held on the sports field on the A388 and St Andrew’s Road. There will be lots of stalls, inflatable rides, possibly a beer tent, arts and crafts, and much more. The fun starts at midday and is due to close at 5 pm, however for more information see their face book page (click here) For a relatively new event it should be well worth a visit.
Then on Sunday the 1 July we will be at the Blind Veterans armed forces day. The event is being held at Blind Veterans Centre in Ovingdean, Brighton starting at 10:30 am and closing at 4 pm, there will be a full arena with a military marching band, Sussex Cadet Kit Car Challenge, Military and classic vehicles, Have a go archery, craft stalls and refreshments. Not forgetting Battlefield South will be at both events!
