Sky Balloons & Canford Magna

Are you going to be in or around Eastleigh on Sunday 23 August, looking for some family fun?
Why not come along to Eastleigh recreation park, and support the Sky Balloons, event. There will be something for all the family, including food and drink stalls, arts and crafts, Inflatable attractions, Music and of course Battlefield South.
The Hamworthy Club Family Fun Day
If you are in the Canford magna area on Sunday 30 August you will have another chance to play Battlefield South at the Family Fun day at Magna Road, Canford Magna. Again there will be something for all ages including Pepper Pig for the young ones, inflatable attractions for the slightly older ones, and then for the big kids Battlefield South. Entry is £1 free for under 5 year olds. So come along and support you local event.
Don’t forget the 12 and 13 of September as we will be at the Old Sarum Air Show.
With the Vulcan, B17 “Sally B” Spitfire, Hurricane, and much more, this will be a great weekend. Remember its tickets only so no ticket no entry! So click on the photo and follow the link to their website and get your tickets before they all go.

The Old Sarum Airshow 12 and 13 Sept

On the 12 and 13 September 2015 the Old Sarum Air Show will be reaching for the sky. They have lots of flying attractions,
although I am not at liberty to announce them all just yet, there will be the B17 ‘Sally B’ Boeing Flying Fortress, Hawker Hurricane AE977 Mk1, Supermarine Spitfire HF Mk1X and Currently for the Saturday only the top of the shop, The Mighty Hunter – AVRO Vulcan XH558 in what is most likely it’s last season. There will be ground based entertainment to entertain all ages including Battlefield South. However it is a ticket only affair so if you want to go to either 
watch the show or play with Battlefield South you will need to purchase your tickets in advance. You will also need to be quick, as there are limited numbers available, and I understand that they are going fast. Tickets are available at http://www.oldsarumairshow.com/ click on the menu icon top right, then on Buy tickets at the bottom of the drop down list.
So if you don’t want to miss a great weekend of flying displays and ground displays get your tickets for either day or why not both. Remember no ticket no entry on the day.

What a day with the Dreadnoughts

What a day we had with Portsmouth Dreadnoughts and the Back-Up charity. There was over £2000 raised on the day for the charity, (approximately £3250 including other donations) plus the bonus of the Dreadnoughts beating the Conquers 28- 0. So a “very big” thank you to all who turned up on the day, donated via just giving, and supported the event and the Dreadnoughts team.
Our next public event is not until 23 August, which is at Eastleigh recreation park (near the shopping centre) to help support the Sky Balloons event. There is something for the whole family, including Food, Arts , Crafts, Inflatable attractions and of course Battlefield South.
Then on 30th August we will be attending the Hamworthy Club Family Fun day, being held at Magna Road, Canford Magna, BH21 3AP . the event starts at 11 am and runs until 6 pm. There will be refreshments , a food market, Arts and crafts, inflatable’s, Battlefield South, Pepper pig and much more. Entrance is £1 and free for under 5 year olds.

Our next public event 2nd August

The Storrington Summer Festival is over, the clear up finished and what a lovely week end it was. Despite the weather man saying it would be overcast on Saturday and we would have rain on Sunday it was warm and sunny on both days. The Live music was good and the beer and lager where not bad either,
(so I am informed). Certainly those who attended seemed to have enjoyed themselves. So well done and a big thank you to our hosts “Hometown Festivals” for all your hard work.
We don’t have a public show this weekend as we are tied up with other commitments. However our next public event is on Sunday2nd August at Alexandra Park, in Portsmouth. We are attending the Portsmouth Dreadnoughts’ (American Football Team) , final match of the season and first charity match, in support of the “Back Up” charity. “Back Up” help people who have suffered spinal injuries to take part in sports of all kinds, from wheel chair rugby to archery, shooting, sailing, and much much more. The day starts at 11 am and runs on to 6pm, with pre match entertainment, the match against the Hasting Conquerors, inflatable attractions, Big Prize raffle, and of course Battlefield South. So why not come a long, and be entertained for the day, and help a great cause in the process. We look forward to seeing you there!

Battlefield South Attending Portsmouth Dreadnoughts v Hastings Conquerors

On 2nd August 2015 Portsmouth Dreadnoughts are holding a charity day at Alexandra Park in Portsmouth. The event will include their last game of the season, (against Hastings Conquerors) as well as inflatable attractions, food, pre match entertainment, a big raffle prize, and so much more. Battlefield South will also be attending to help the day go with a bang. The charity for this year is called “Back Up” who help to support people with spinal injuries to go on to take part in sports. Other than an obvious sporting link, one of their players was left paralysed from the chest down following a skiing accident. The day starts at 11 am and closes at 6pm. So why not come along and support a great charity, a local American Football team, and get another chance to play with Battlefield South! hoora Semper fi!
