Events for June 2014

What a month May has been and we still have two weekends to go full of birthday parties. However June is nearly with us and so here are the public events we will be attending.
Firstly we are still in the process of 
being able to confirm our attendance at another Charity Dragon Boat race day. This is being run by the “Five Talents” charity at Winsor Dorney on 7th June. We hope to be able to confirm our attendance this week, so don’t forget to check back with us here or on our FB page for further details. But even if we are not attending it promises to be a great day out with a BBQ at the end of the day. Additionally I understand it is not too late to enter a team! An event we can confirm is our attendance at the Portsmouth Scouts Summer Fair being held on 15th June on Southsea Castle Field. There will be lots of entertainment there including a volleyball competition, and lots of stalls, (and of course us!).
On 21st June We are attending the Titchfield Summer Fair which is being held on Barry’s Meadow in Titchfield. The Fair actually covers Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd however we will only be there for the Saturday, ( due to prior private commitments).
Our next public event of the month is Medina School Fete, Medina Road Cosham, on 27th June. This is always a great couple of hours and profits from the event go to help school projects. So if you are in the area why not come along and browse the cake and craft stalls, or play a couple of games with us.
Then the big day, 28th June, and it is Aldershot Armed Forces Day and The Army Show. 
Officially known as the Aldershot Military Festival which covers events over the whole week (http://www.armyshow.co.uk/index.html) It Promises to be bigger and better than ever. Also this is the day we hope to be showing off some of the other weaponry, produced by Momentum Ltd. We are not sure what will be available, but are looking to have AK47s, H&K MP5’s, M16’s and more. This is certainly not a day to be missed. The event is held on Queens Avenue, Aldershot, opposite and around the famous, (or infamous) Army School of Physical Training and runs from 10:00 until 18:00 and should be a stunning day.

St Mary’s community Faire 2014

Public events are like busses, wait ages for one then loads come along all at once. It looks like we are going to be very busy with The Surrey Heath Show on 3rd of May, and another public event on the 5th May. This time we will be in Fratton, Portsmouth at the St Mary’s Community Faire. Yes it is the old favourite, at St Mary’s Church in Fratton, helping to raise money for the local community. As usual entry is free and there will be Bouncy castles, roundabouts, stalls, displays in the main arena, a bar and Battlefield South. So if Frimley Lodge Park and the Surrey Heath Show is a tad too far for a day out on the May Bank Holiday, come down to Fratton in Portsmouth for another exciting and entertaining day.

The Surrey Heath Show

Well the Easter Bank holiday week end is over, and we hope you had a great break, (without too much chocolate). 
We had a great time running parties, private events, and working hard to organise our attendance at some public events. So where are we going to be?
Well firstly we are going to be at the Surrey Heath Show, on 3rd of May. This is being held at the Frimley Lodge Park, between 10 am and 4pm. For those who don’t know the event, there will be lots of displays, stalls, Classic Cars, Bouncy castles, roundabout, and of course this year Battlefield South. Entrance to the event is free however there is a £3 parking charge. So come along and join Spike and us and have a great day out.

Its this weekend

Don’t forget this Saturday 17 August is the Sholing Community Fun Day. Organised by the Bittern Police
station, and being held at the field off Sullivan Road, it is a fun day out for the whole family. Starting at 11:00 am there will be a BBQ, a story corner, Arts and Crafts, Bouncy Castles, Martial Arts displays in the main arena, Fire Trucks Kickz Football and of course Battlefield South will be there to add some spice to the day.
So why not come along, have a hot dog, and maybe a battle of two.

Two Dates for August

We hope you had as much fun as we did at the events we attended during July. If you did why not come to a couple of public events we are attending in August.
Firstly is a Community Fun Day at Sholing Recreation ground, Sulliavan Road Southampton on 17 August 2013. 
Where there will be lots of stalls, rides, and business showing off their products and job opportunities. Not forgetting we will be there. This event is sponsored by Hampshire police as a community fun day for all the family.
The second is the Forton Fest 
being held in Forton park, Gosport on 31 August. This is an annual local community event with lots of stalls, rides, Bands and fun for the whole family. Did I mention we would be there?
So place the date into you dairies and come to the events which should prove to be great days out.
