Tributes at the end of the season

Our mobile season and shows have finally come to an end for this year, which is always a sad time as the team have spent so many cold, wet, hot, dry, days and nights together over the last months However everything comes to an end, even the good times.
On that note we would like to say a sad farewell to some members of staff , who have moved on to hopefully bigger and better things, and we as a company and a family would like to wish them all the very best in their future.
So firstly we would like to say a fond farewell to Fin Cole, who had been with us for about 15 months. He was very well versed in all sides of our operation, and had been ear marked to move up into the Senior Game Marshal, and be my second in command when away on mobile events. He will be Sorley missed as the loss of experience, knowledge of the systems, where items were packed and accessed, show layouts, and his ever growing customer facing skills will be hard to replace. He was a very valued member of the team. However opportunities arose elsewhere and we can only wish him the very best, with his GCSE’s and for whatever the future holds for him. As well as thank him for his understanding and support during his time with the team.
Next we have to say good bye to my second in command, and
right hand man Wills. Being my son meant he got all the worst jobs, had to put in the longest hours and suffer the boss contacting him all times of day and night. His knowledge of the operation was only matched by myself, and at times he would correct me when I didn’t have things 100%. This will be a massive loss to the operation and the company. Those who would wish to fill his shoes will have an unrelenting uphill task just to get close. However it has to be said, this was only to be expected as he had been helping out, (mostly unpaid) from the very beginning at the tender age of 8 right up to and including during his GCSE’s and A levels. Again we can only wish him the very best as he now, settles in to his new life at university studying Physics. I am sure (I hope) he will be back during those reading weeks and long holidays to cast an expert eye over proceedings and tell me I am doing it wrong!
Lastly we have the saddest duty of all, and that is to say good bye to Oli. Again, as my son, he had been with us on and off since the very beginning. Being only about 12 when we first started he worked with us all the way through his GCSE’s, A levels and on occasions whilst in full time employment, (again mostly unpaid). He loved taking part in the games, testing his skills and also making games fun for others. Although wasn’t so keen on the rigging and 
de –rigging element of the job, (much like us all). With that said he always had a smile on his face.
Oli had not been well for some time and because of this was unable to take part as much as he would have liked. Unfortunately Oli succumbed to his illness a couple of weeks ago, (September 2018) and he is and will be greatly missed as a son, brother and work mate.
