Town Park Festival and Wartime Wallop!

Our next public events are on 28 and 30 May, and what great events we have lined up for you !
Firstly on 28 May 2016 we will be attending the Town Park Festival, being held at Town Park Alton. In aid of The Rhiannon Trust, the day kicks off at 10 am and ends at 6 pm. There will be all kinds of food, drink and craft stalls, with children’s entertainment, inflatable rides, bouncy castles Live music, and not forgetting Battlefield South. Entry is free and it is looking to be a fantastic day.
Then on the 30 May 2016, we will be at Wartime Wallop. Held at the Museum of Army Flying, next to the home of the Army Air Corp near Middle Wallop, this will be a day not to be missed. The museum will be open as usual with all its indoor and outdoor static displays as well as rein actors. Classic military vehicles, including a Willy’s Jeep, 1941 Chevrolet CMP 17 pdr Gun Tractors, 1942 Daimler Dingo Armoured scout car. Craft, food and drink stalls, inflatable attractions, and the Royal Artillery will be giving a blank firing display during the day, (that should be something not to be missed in its self).Then to top it all off Battlefield South will also be there. The day starts at 10am and the event closes at 4:30pm. Tickets are £15 for adults, and £10 for concessions (OAP, kids), and £5 for service personnel (on production of MOD90).

Three days, three events down, so what is next?

Well the first big weekend of the year is over. We covered over 200 miles, and three big events in three days. A big thank you to all those who came and supported the events, and a bigger thank you to those who played and thus donated to The Army Benevolent Fund (The soldiers Charity) and the Royal British Legion.
So what is next? I hear you ask. Well on Sunday the 15th May we will be attending the Portsmouth Dragon Boat festival again. It is only on for one day this year, but as always, is looking to be massive, with inflatable attractions, (bouncy castles and assault course), archery from the scouts, food and drink stalls, Dragon boat racing and of course Battlefield South will be there. Being held at Lakelands, North Harbour Portsmouth, Parking and entrance is free. So why not come along watch the racing, and join in with all the fun.
Then on Saturday 28th May we will be at Alton Town Park Festival. Again there are classic cars, inflatable attractions, (bouncy castles), Craft, food and drink stalls, Music, Dancing and arena displays. In its third year , entrance is free and it is a great day out for the whole family.
If you love Helicopters and Army Flying then the “Wartime Wallop” at the Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop, (SO20 8DY) on 30th May is a must not miss. With a blank firing demo from the Royal Artillery, inflatable attractions, (bouncy castles), craft, food and drink stalls, Historic military vehicles and re enactors, static fixed and rotary wing aircraft, entrance to marvellous the museum, and much much more, including Battlefield South. Whole family entertainment, and a real not to be missed day out!
